GHT 2020 inoperable due to Coronavirus
This year marked the 10th anniversary of our Great Himalaya Trail Trek. Ten years ago, we could never have imagined the reason for not being able to operate the world's longest, highest and most spectacular trek.
Our GHT 2020 Traverse had to cease when Nepal announced countrywide movement restrictions and lock down measures that could have affected emergency services for our trekkers currently on the trail. After assessing that risk, we declared the trip inoperable.
In recent weeks, World Expeditions has been assisting many travellers through the rapidly changing situation around border closures, quarantining requirements and travel restrictions around the world.
