Thursday June 14th, Day 115 of the World Expeditions Great Himalaya Nepal Traverse, by Linda Bibby
Namaste! We left Kagbeni on the 9th of June and have endured some very windy camps over the last few days as the group travelled up through the famous Mustang region. We have met up with the stage 6 Upper Dolpo Traverse group.
The landscape has changed from the more verdant surrounds of Kagbeni to the high pleateau country of rich red and brown lands against stunning blue skies.
Our gear is now being carried by mules rather than our porters so we're somewhat self sufficient until we reach one of the highlights later on which is Phoksumdo Lake.
This morning we leave the medieval town of Charkkha Bhot. The last few days have been magnificent with outstanding views of Dhaualgiri from the Nulungsunda La.
All team members are in good spirits, and we send love to all those at home!
